Christmas is about so many things in my house .......
Spending time with those that I care about the most ,
The never ending jokes about the square turkey,
the festive feast,
the giving and receiving of gifts
the telling of stories
remembering those that cannot be with us
the season has so many positives
the run up is not so easy finding all the special bits and piece that would be perfect for those
special people in your life
but the day after Christmas for me takes on a whole new meaning for
SHOPPING !!
I like so many have fought the crowds trying to find the ultimate bargain
be it that skirt that you just have to have
or those bits that I know my daughters would just love
The jeans hubby just loved but were so far out of our budget it was unreal before Christmas are now a just a few more pounds than a regular pair would be
or even the bits I just couldn't afford just before Christmas or couldn't justify spending any real amount of money on.
But come Boxing Day for this self confessed shop-a-holic is in 7th Heaven!!
All my favorite brands are reduced to prices are simply a bargain not to be missed !
the last few years however I have been in tears devastated that I cant get any where near the rails
or have been trapped under people too ignorant to give someone in a wheelchair the courtesy of not having their head squashed by smelly armpits or by hitting me with the numerous bags they have on their arms and shoulders already! I have even been pulled from a rail and pushed to one side by an over zealous shopper in the past who realized I actually had a very loud voice in me and a very curt tongue to boot!
Unfortunately due to the ignorance of these people and my many injuries from these people
Hubby put his foot down last year and said no sale shopping until the crowds have settled a bit after a few days or so and when all the best bargains have gone .........
Which meant shopping after all the best bargains had gone
But ............................
This year I decided sulking wasn't going to get me the ultimate bargains that I desire
so I put my thinking head on and made sure I was ready for the
ULTIMATE in New Year sales shopping experiences......
I got everything I needed together
bank card
warm jumper
blanket
iPad
hubby
my favourite cushion to stop me from getting a backache and a draft up my back
my laptop
a few munchies
and a nice hot coffee
I was ready to start my marathon shopping event
online !
no crowds of people
no problems parking
no children screaming at the top of their lungs
(as they are tired, hungry and would rather be home playing with their new toys)
no ques
no stress
and even better
I have sales in multiple countries and shops all at my finger tips !!
I can even take my time on some sites with backstage and VIP viewings to beat the crowds and grab the best bargains before they even hit the shelves
and I am not restricted by shop opening times or the hassle of having to dress for the occasion I can
visit even the posh shops in my PJ's no make up and hair standing on end !
this has made for one happy Kayla and one sad bank balance but hey
I LOVE SHOPPING !!
